Captain America Civil War was hands down the best Marvel movie to date. This film is a well balanced approach at a versus movie. It has all of the wit and charm of an Avengers movie but with all the tense suspense of a Captain America film. Tom Holland and Chadwick Boseman kill as Spider-Man and Black Panther respectively. I loved Holland's portrayal as the youthful barely experienced Spider-Man. He is hilarious and playful as he fights its like the comics come to life. As for Boseman his T'Challa is strong, passionate and commanding. Everytime he is on screen you feel he is a king. Everyone else where great as well from Elizabeth Olsen to Martin Freeman the cast did a stellar job. RDJ shines once again as Tony Stark, you understood his motivations but at the same time wanted to hate his guts. And if I haven't said it before I'll say it now, Chris Evans is Captain America. He is portrays the character as someone you aspire to be, a goal to strive for. In these days of bleakness in Superhero movies it is good to find that beacon of hope.
Joe and Anthony Russo and screenwriters Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely did an awesome job of portraying both sides of the argument equally. They showed not only the arguments but each spotlighted characters reasons for their choice. You saw both sides of the argument and at times could not decide which to choose. The Russo's showed us that they are truly fans of comic books showing us that they could balance so many characters at one time on the screen and get their motivations, feelings and fighting styles across. Which let me say that Airport fight scene was amazing. It was well shot, well choreographed and the stunt team they deserve a big round of applause. Those guys really put work in on this film. Between the fights and the chase scenes, those guys killed it.
There were some downsides there was a little too much shaky cam during the opening fight scenes. Martin Freeman's American accent was not great but honestly that's just nit picking. In the end this movie was stellar. The Russo Bros hit it out of the park again and leave me wanting "Avengers: Infinity Wars" now.
